My photo
Welcome to the travels of Doug and Nada. We love the Lord and are traveling full-time in our motorhome with our German Shepherd, Homer. Homer is the star attraction wherever we stop and he gets us talking and sharing with many people. DON'T FORGET: YOU CAN ENLARGE EACH PHOTO BY CLICKING ON THE PHOTO! Pigeon Forge, TN 8/16/10

We ended up doing a circle trip. We traveled down I-81 and stopped in Sevierville, TN at Ripplin' Waters campground. Then on to Nashville to visit cousins, Stormie and Sue and their families. Then we headed north to the Answers in Genesis Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY on our way home.

After arriving in Sevierville and getting the RV set-up, we headed to Pigeon Forge in the car for the 6 PM show at Dixie Stampede. On the way, we stopped at Christmas Place. It is a store that has every imaginable item for Christmas. The photo below is Doug and Oma outside Christmas place.

Doug loved all the various little village winter scenes. He especially like the the animated hockey game on the pond below.

Our next stop was Dixie Stampede.

They have a pre-show in the Carriage Room with Blue Grass music. These three guys are national champions on their respective instruments. They are quite funny, too!

After the Pre-show in the Carriage Room, you are ushered into the Arena for the main show. Since dinner is served, you are seated at tables all facing the arena so you can eat while the show is going on.
