On Monday we arrived at Galveston Bay RV in between Houston and Galveston. The RV park sits on the Dickinson Bayou of Galveston Bay in a beautiful location. It is a hidden gem of a campground! They even have a flock of green parrots so we felt right at home (our park in Mission Texas has flocks of Green Parrots). Here is a photo of the parrots on some electric wires.
Interesting bridge on TX 146 over the ship channel.
Below is a long distance view of the Jacinto Monument which marks the battle location that won independence for the Republic of Texas from Mexico. More on this in a later post after we visit it.
Here are some views of the RV park where we are camped for this week.
The photos above and below show the new marina the campground just made. They are also working on a swimming pool.
Above and below are views of our campsite and the clubhouse.
We went to dinner in Kemah, TX which has a boardwalk along the bay. They have lots of amusement rides including this little train that snakes through the beautifully landscaped boardwalk area.
