From Mesa Verde, we headed south and west to Four Corners on our way to Monument Valley. Four Corners is the only place in the USA where 4 states come together. Since it happens to be on Navajo land, they charge an admission to the location. It is out in the middle of barren land in the middle of no where, but we had to go there once just to say we stood in 4 states at once. In the second photo, Homer is sitting in two states and has his front paws in the other two states. The inscription on the monument is: "Four states here meet in freedom under God." Around the monument are booths of native American artists selling their creations.
